Obama's health care law headed to Supreme Court next week

Well gang I am hopeful but not giddy about the prospect that perhaps one of the branches of government will actually "protect and defend" the constitution of the United States as they sworn to do.  Certainly Congress has abdicated its power to Obama, should in my opinion be charged with treason, all 535 of them.

The story from the AP is typical of AP unfettered support for Obama and typically fraught with incorrect information. The story reports, "The Affordable Care Act gradually reorganizes one-sixth of the U.S. economy to cover most of the nation's 50 million uninsured, while simultaneously trying to restrain costs and prevent disruptions to the majority already with coverage."  Best I can recall from previous hype by the liberals it was 30 million uninsured people not 50 million, are we to assume that 20 million more people have become uninsured since Obama was elected.  I would not be surprised as the law of un-inteded consequences always kicks in when the government initiates irrational policies.

The next big lie is this little gem, "Few expected a relatively minor provision tacked on late in the legislative process to be its biggest success so far. But allowing young adults to stay on their parents' insurance until age 26 has added nearly 2.5 million people to the coverage rolls, at no cost to taxpayers."  If only this were true, taxpayers are the citizens, and healthcare insurance rates have risen steadily since Obama signed Obamacare into law, while you may not have been directly taxed, let me assure you if you have a job and have healthcare insurance you are paying more today than you did in 2008, not because you have more coverage but because someone (you) get to pay for all those folks added to the coverage of existing policies.   You cannot extend coverage at no additional cost, all that has happened is that the burden is not yet a tax.

And the big lie of the day, mentioned almost as an after thought is the hidden little secret with National Healthcare, "Starting in 2014, insurers will have to accept all applicants regardless of prior health problems. Also that year, many middle-class people will qualify for federal subsidies to lower the cost of their premiums."  Now folks apply just apply a wee bit of good old commons sense here, in 2014 the program ceases to be insurance and becomes a pure welfare program.  And that is when the prices will really go through the roof on private insurance programs, in fact, as written, there is no possibility that private healthcare insurance can exist and the only option for you, me and everyone else to get any kind of healthcare coverage will be through a tax payer funded program.  Now if you want to see how that works out spend some time traveling in Europe.

If you think healthcare is expensive now, just wait until it is free!  Of course it will be free for those who don't work or don't pay taxes but it will be paid for by those of us who do work and pay taxes.

I am just sayin . . . !
